Praise for Save the Himalayas

The beautiful, Rima Fujita, with her dazzling paintings and poignant poetic story of two little children who develop compassion, wisdom and optimism when they are shown by a magical bird the truth and consequences of our modern day environmental destruction, brings a hopeful message of empowerment to both children and adults alike, which says that our individual actions do matter to the greater world. Each one of us no matter who we are or where we live can do something to make this world a kinder safer place and save our planet-but we have to do it now!

I heard HH the Dalai Lama say once that what ever spiritual practice we are engaged in, must address the environmental issues that are threatening the planet, or our spiritual practice is irrelevant. Each one of us has unique and precious skills. We don't have to be a president, a saint or a rocket scientist, to contribute to making the world a better place, we can be who we are and offer that and if our motive is sincere and selfless it will make a difference. Rima's book is about that.

Rima is an accomplished artist and she should be celebrated for offering her art as a spiritual practice in sincere, selfless, service to the planet. With her book, Save the Himalayas she is moving humanity out of ignorance and into the light of awareness and compassion.
